Release video of the scandal

A video that was shared online on June 23, 2023 by a male student at Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College revealed that two other students were also participating. After accidently viewing the video, the male student attempted to blackmail the female student. He demanded GHC 5,000 as a ransom and threatened to leak the tape if he didn’t receive it. Unfortunately, the female student disregarded the restrictions, which resulted in the release of the tape and its subsequent virality on social media.

How Does the College Reply?

As soon as word of the occurrence spread, the college acted right away. On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, Williams Adinkra, the school’s public relations representative, discussed the issue on the morning show “Nyansapo” on OTEC 102.9 FM in Kumasi. The Admittance of Guilt

The three pupils who were implicated in the scandal were invited to the school’s disciplinary committee after the tape went public. The first two students who were directly involved in the brawl that was caught on camera confirmed their involvement and claimed that it took place when they were on vacation. The third student, who claimed to have obtained the tape from the girl’s phone before asking the latter for GHC 5,000, made it public.

What happened after it?

The appropriate sanctions were given by college officials in light of the pupils’ improper behavior. For a year, the three children were expelled from school. The student who released the footage, however, had to face with an additional penalty when they returned to class.
