Infinix Hot 12 : Infinix’s strategy in India has been to release as many low-cost smartphones and mid-range models as possible. This time, it’s staying in the affordable range, and it just introduced the Hot 12 Play at a price of Rs 8,499 for a single variation. Companies like Realme and Redmi have already been dominating this market by providing some high-quality items. With the Infinix Hot 12 Play in front of them, do they have a chance?

The cameras are located in the upper left corner of the Infinix Hot 12 Play’s back, along with a fingerprint reader and an LED flash. The blue colour we received does make the stripes on the plastic unibody’s back stand out. The design, however, is not very original and resembles goods made by other firms.

Software & Performance

With XOS 10.0 running on top of Android 11, the UniSOC T610 1.8 GHz Octa-core CPU powers the Infinix Hot 12 Play. There is 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, with support for up to 3GB of extra virtual RAM. The Infinix Note 12 also has this software pre-installed, which we evaluated before. In summary, the experience wasn’t terrible, to put it mildly.

Hot 12 Play made things worse. The animations were jerky, and several of the apps crashed while I was using them. The smartphone occasionally slowed down, and it took a while for apps to load. Additionally, you cannot anticipate this smartphone to support gaming. The tablet also comes with a significant quantity of bloatware, which makes matters worse.

Battery Life

Huge 6000mAh battery powering the Infinix Hot 12 Play enables 18W fast charging. The device’s ability to run for days on this battery is one of its strengths. With moderate use, I could easily get close to two days of battery life. Even with intensive use, I was unable to eliminate it in a single day. The 18W charger, on the other hand, needs a good while to charge the smartphone; I’m talking more than 2 hours.
